New « off-hours » tax at Zurich Airport

The handling agent Cargologic at the Zurich Airport has decided to implement a new tax for all handling that is done for import shipment on Saturdays. The tax will be of 50CHF per shipment.

This company justifies this tax by the fact that Saturday isn’t a week day; therefore work done on Saturday should be assimilated to off-hours work.

For this reason shipments that are picked up by forwarders on Saturdays will be subject to this extra cost. Therefore, unless requested, all shipments will be pick-up by the ATM trucks on Monday unless delivery deadline makes it imperative that the shipment is picked up on Saturday.
